What a difference a year makes. Witness the tale of WorldPoint, a locally-grown "high-tech" firm specializing in translation that was once the darling of Hawaii's "growing tech sector." In March of last year, the headline was, State breeds new high-tech success. They were growing exponentially, headed for an IPO, a shining star. Today, the story is, Internet company in danger of foreclosure. (Actually, that was a month ago. PBN reported this week that they were officially evicted, and in the harsher print edition article, the lede was, "How do you say 'out of business' in 15 different languages?")
