Who cares if I'm starting the year behind in journal entries as it is. It's time once again for Heather's contagious Friday Five!

1. You've just won a complete collection of movies starring one actor - what actor would you pick?

Hmm. Christopher Walken? The smaller the parts, the better he is. Emma Thompson? Class all the way... if a bit typecast as a result. Kevin Spacey? He seems to enjoy making all movies — even the bad ones. Tough call. Though I guess I'd go with Emma.

2. What was the last movie you saw in a theater?

A Beautiful Mind, starring Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly. Better than I expected I was genuinely surprised. It's not easy to portray opposing perspectives of reality without resorting to convoluted devices or stupid special effects. I liked it more than my wife did, and she's the schoolgirl-crush Crowe fan.

3. What was the last video or DVD that you bought?

The "Director's Cut" of Almost Famous, easily one of my favorite films of last year. (Er, make that last last year.) We already had the original version, too. But the extras on "Untitled" (the official title of the special edition) are worth it.

4. What movie could you watch over and over again and not get sick of?

If I were my wife, this would be an easy question indeed: Say Anything. For me? Tough call. Contemporary, I'd go with Pulp Fiction. (Or maybe Blade Runner?) As for classics, probably Roman Holiday.

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend?

Sleeping. As much as possible. I stayed up over New Year's even though I'm too damn old for that already, and as a result, I've been run down and cranky all week.
