When I'm not blogging, I'm browsing. Here are sites and pages that I bookmarked on September 15th:

  • News Site That Sends Readers Away With Links Has Highest Engagement: Drudge beats every original content news site by a two to one margin. Drudge is also one of the largest news sites that isn’t built on an offline brand or a communications portal. Still thinks sending people away with links is not a good strategy online?

  • Why You Should Never Google on the First Date: Often when you Google someone, you get nothing, or else simply a name twin. Sometimes you get a nice little geeky history. But every now and then, you hit the information jackpot, which is what happened with my lanky runner date.

  • Textaholics rising: The proliferation of these personal communication devices are changing the way people relate to each other. In practically every social setting, from the classroom to the dinner table, they have the power to intrude as often as fingers can tap.

  • Once Elected, Palin Hired Friends and Lashed Foes: Throughout her political career, she has pursued vendettas, fired officials who crossed her and sometimes blurred the line between government and personal grievance, according to a review of public records and interviews with 60 Republican and Democratic legislators and local officials.
