Jen's 10th Anniversary iPod. Born March 27, 2004... died July 12, 2004. Alas, the smooth plastic device my wife adored more than her husband (shut up!) had a tragic fall this morning, and — rather than the sweet sounds of Dennis Pavao — now emits nothing more than an awful, gut-wrenching grinding noise. Jen called me at work with the sad news. I think she was crying.

If you own an iPod, you understand.

She barely went eight hours without fondling the thing. I hardly got to mess with it, but still, I was quite fond of it (particularly combined with the iTrip). All those weeks of careful playlist engineering... gone.

Of course, Jen's birthday is just around the corner...
