"Dirty Jobs" Returns to Hawaii
Mike Rowe, the host of the Discovery Channel's "Dirty Jobs," was in Honolulu in July, taking a turn as a window washer dangling from the 45-story One Waterfront Towers (as captured above by my friend Blaine Fergerstrom). According to a promo attached to tonight's season premiere, the episode will air next week Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 9 p.m. HST. The show has been to Hawaii a few times before. Previous "dirty jobs" Mike Rowe has performed included harvesting taro roots, working on a coffee farm, and collecting algae for a pharmaceutical company. He also took a bath in volcanic mud from the Big Island. Check out this recent interview with Mike Rowe on CNBC, which includes clips from his window washing gig:
