1. What did you have for breakfast this morning? If you didn't have breakfast, why not?

I don't usually have breakfast, though I should. Just a little while ago I bought a ridiculously cute "Wonder Bread" sandwich holder, figuring it would inspire me to make PB&J sandwiches every morning. I only used it twice.

2. What's your favorite cereal?

When I was a kid, it used to be "Cookie Crisp." Now just the thought of it makes my teeth hurt. I suppose I'd go with "Honey Bunches of Oats," although simple corn flakes with a bit of sugar does me just fine.

3. How often do you eat out? Do you want that to change?

Maybe once a week. Okay, twice a week. It should be less often, and indeed my wife and I have become pretty inspired cooks. But just some days I come home too late or Jen's just too tired to bother with the extra virgin olive oil and garlic cloves. Then it's usually Zippy's or McD's.

4. What do you plan on having for dinner tonight? Got a recipe for that?

Tonight, it's Zippy's. This was planned in advance, though... we'll be meeting up with a friend we haven't seen since September.

5. What's your favorite restaurant? Why?

Probably "Ken's House of Pancakes" on the Big Island, in the sleepy town of Hilo. It's a diner straight out of central casting, with 70s-style furniture, orange vinyl booth chairs, and waithelp that you just assume are named Mel and Flo. I'd kill right now for one of their loco mocos.
