Members of the Oahu Songwriters Group will be featured in "Songwriters in the Round" at Hawaii Public Radio this Saturday, Aug. 22. Performers include Ruth Shiroma Foster and Norm Foster, Barefoot Bob, Ev Fox, Brad Mossman, Otis Schaper and Jenna Tague.

Ruth Shiroma Foster is an old friend and former Ka Leo survivor, and a very talented life-long musician.

"Norm will play his clarinet, and I will play the piano and sing all original work," she writes. "The studio is a very intimate, warm space and perfect for acoustic music and telling stories. Added plus is that beautiful Borsendorfer piano, which I look forward to playing."

Tickets are $25 ($20 for HPR members and $15 for students). Call (808) 955-8821 for reservations.

The Oahu Songwriters Group was founded in 2005, inspired by the Kauai Music Festival. Now, the group has over 100 members, and holds monthly meetings with song critique sessions, and provides a variety of songwriter showcases.
