The Hawaii Science & Technology Council will present "Web 2.0: Local Internet Ventures with Global Reach" on Friday, Dec. 12. Representatives from three local web companies will talk about their entries into the social media space:

  • Rob Farrow from Chi.mp, an online identity management platform.

  • Lorenz Sell from Blue Lava Technologies, creators of the iLovePhotos photo sharing system.

  • Dave Kozuki of People Bridge, which deploys social network websites for companies and organizations.

The event is part of the council's monthly "Tech Download" networking breakfasts, held on the second Friday of each month. Registration is $15 for council members, $20 for non-members. Register online.
